Villa Sandahl – Roses Darling, 2022

A young and fresh Badacsony Riesling from volcanic soil. Typical nose with primary Riesling aromas and a lot of citrus. Excellent purity and elegance. The pleasant Riesling experience continues on the palate. Fruity and mineral notes, good complexity. Fresh, elegant and dense at the same time. 2022 was a very warm and sunny vintage around Lake Balaton. That is why we have this rich and ripe style in the 2022 wines. The vines are about 45 years old. All our vineyards are first class in the historic wine region of Badacsony. They are south-facing, very steep and stony vineyards directly above Lake Balaton. The main type of soil is volcanic stone – basalt and “pannonian sand”.
