Villa Sandahl – Out of the Blue, 2022

Typical young and fresh Badacsony Riesling from volcanic soil. Very attractive bouquet with ripe and dried fruits. Round, fleshy and complex on the palate with a soft mouthfeel and an extra long finish. 2022 was a very warm and sunny vintage around Lake Balaton. That is why we have this rich and ripe style in the 2022 wines. The vines are about 45 years old. All our vineyards are first class in the historic wine region of Badacsony. They are south-facing, very steep and stony vineyards directly above Lake Balaton. The main soil type is volcanic stone – basalt and “pannonian sand”.
