Filep – Tokaji Furmint-Hárslevelű, 2021

Dry white wine from the Tokaj region of Hungary, from old Furmint and Hárslevelű plantations (planted in the 1970s, ’80s and ’30s) on volcanic soil, rhyolite tuff and rhyolite. The grapes were gently pressed as a whole bunch and the fermentation was spontaneous. The wine matured on its lees in 500-litre oak barrels and in stainless steel vats, avoiding any intervention that would alter the character of the wine. Moderate alcohol content. High but elegant acidity. Flowers, white and yellow fruits, minerality.
