Botrytised, shrivelled Furmint berries were individually hand-picked and macerated in fermenting Furmint base must for 18 hours before gentle pressing and fermentation in oak barrels. The fully fermented wine was cooled, racked and then aged for 24 months in small Hungarian and French oak barrels. The wine has an amazing nose of quince and honey, but with the freshness of salted lemon. The minerality combined with the fresh sweetness creates a perfect balance in this sweet wine. Great with blue cheeses, spicy curries and creamy desserts.
